Digital payments are reshaping how businesses manage funds and complete transactions. UQPAY today announced that UQPAY-issued Visa cards now work with Apple Pay.
Starting September 1, 2026, eligible UQPAY cardholders can add their cards to Apple Wallet and pay with a touch on iPhone and Apple Watch, online and in store, wherever Apple Pay is accepted.
This launch is more than a feature. UQPAY passed Apple Pay certification at two levels as an issuer, Issuer Level and In-house Processor Level, covering token lifecycle, identity verification (ID&V), and direct integration of its own processing system. Not a program-level setup; a validation of the entire issuing infrastructure.
The confidence comes from UQPAY's in-house processor: issuance, token management, transaction processing, all built and run in-house. With the foundation certified once, every new card program that follows enables Apple Pay by configuration alone. Payment experience and technical depth, moving forward together.
A Faster Way to Pay With Apple Pay, there is no physical card to carry and no card numbers or verification codes to type. In stores, cardholders simply double-click the side button, authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or a device passcode, and hold their device near the payment terminal. In apps and on the web in Safari, checkout takes a single touch. When paying with Apple Pay, cardholders continue to receive all the rewards and benefits of their UQPAY cards.
Security and Privacy in Every Transaction When a card is added to Apple Wallet, the actual card number is never stored on the device or on Apple servers. Each card is assigned a unique Device Account Number, encrypted and stored in the Secure Element on the device, and card numbers are never shared with merchants. Every transaction requires device authentication and is completed with a one-time dynamic security code, adding another layer of protection to business payments.
Built for Business Spending
Issuing Capability, One Step Further “The last mile of any payment experience is letting cardholders pay the way they already prefer,” said Dr. Jack Li, Founder and CEO of UQPAY Group. “Apple Pay support makes UQPAY's issuing capability more complete, connecting the journey from card issuance to everyday spending.”
With Google Pay already supported, Apple Pay completes UQPAY's coverage of the world's two major mobile ecosystems: whichever device their teams carry, business clients and cardholders get the same fast, secure way to pay.
UQPAY is building next-generation payment infrastructure for global businesses around Acquiring, UMA (Unified Money Account), Card Issuing, and digital assets. UMA brings fiat and stablecoins into one account, giving businesses payment and fund management across traditional and digital-asset networks.
From accounts to issuing, acquiring to mobile wallets, UQPAY connects how business funds are held, paid, collected, and managed, bridging traditional rails with the stablecoin ecosystem. One infrastructure, and global operations run easier.
Add your eligible UQPAY card to Apple Wallet today for a faster, safer way to pay.
